Big Win: A servant leader who is passionate about creating and producing compelling multimedia elements to help carry out Liquid’s vision to Saturate the State with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Multimedia Designer serves under the leadership of Creative Arts Pastor & Video Director. This is a part-time position; the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 20 hours/week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Multimedia
Create multimedia content with compelling designs for digital, print, and social media platforms
Design and create ancillary materials, including message series branding, video projects, promotional materials, web design, etc., that keep to Liquid’s branding and style guides
Participate in creative brainstorming, planning, and execution of weekend message series and “Big Day” services (e.g., Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Baptism, etc.) to generate innovative collateral and campaigns
Champion Creative Arts System and look for opportunities to refine & improve the system
Collaboration
Work closely & coordinate with Traffic Manager who will provide oversight of creative requests & scheduling
The Multimedia Designer works collaboratively with Teaching Pastors, Ministry Partners, and Creative Team to support and advance the church’s mission
Invest in team members by sharing skills and knowledge to elevate the competencies and improve workflow for the team
Invest & build healthy ministry partner (Client) relationships to help create successful programs and events
Champion healthy work culture by honoring team members and executing the Creative Department’s best practices, systems, and maintenance of the digital asset library, etc.
Special Events
Active participant in all staff events. (Big Sundays, Christmas, Outreach events, etc.)
All hands on deck for All Staff Meetings, Gospel Hour, Coaching Network & special events where media & production support is needed. (e.g., conferences, church-wide events)
Weekend participation may be required for special events (e.g., capturing highlight video at events, baptism photography, etc.)
Technical Expertise
Invest in personal development and honing one’s craft; posture to grow in design skills & learning/developing acumen of software, keep abreast of design & video trends; stays current on digital marketing innovations, and pulse on our changing culture.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia, Design or related experience required.
2 years prior experience in graphic design, video or multimedia.
Skills - Innovative ideator, a forward-thinking creative that excels in translating concepts into effective creative assets.
Multimedia - Experienced multi-faceted content creator with experience in graphic design, video, and photography.
Creativity - Creates show-stopping content and assets with an ability to think “outside the box” and continue developing as a creative.
Organization - ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, manage information and time, and apply best practices and systems.
Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills with high regard for timely responsiveness to team members and ministry partners.
Project Management - ability to organize the workflow and multiple projects and manage time to ensure delivery on all due dates.
Relational Ability - a “people” person with a heart of a servant leader who works well with staff & volunteers of varying personality types.
Excellence - maintain a high level of excellence in both the creative output and the process to get there.
Team - invest in teammates’ development and be an active contributor to healthy team dynamics and culture.
